Replacement of the Rear Shock Absorber

Replacing the rear shock absorber is straightforward since, unlike the front one, the spring and damper are not co-axial, so you do not need to compress the spring to separate it from the shock absorber. Lift the vehicle and unscrew the fastening bolt of the shock absorber from the suspension support. Use a jack to support the suspension and remove the bolt, then release the jack. Lower the car to access the boot, move the carpet lining, and unscrew the bolt that secures the shock absorber stem to the body strut. At this point, remove the old shock absorber and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after.
