The engine air filter housing (or AIRBOX) is located on the side, near the coolant reservoir. Unscrew the fixing screws of the cover, lift it, and extract the old filter; remove any dirt residues from inside the filter box, taking care not to let them enter the intake duct (use a vacuum cleaner rather than compressed air). Then, fit the new filter and re-screw the cover.

You may also opt for a sports-type filter which, in addition to improving performance, will not need to be replaced but simply washed with the appropriate cleaner.
