How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on a DS7 Crossback

To replace the front brake pads on a DS7 Crossback, you will need tools such as a socket spanner, jack, and a tool to retract the brake pistons. Lift the car with the jack and place a stand under the lower arm. Remove the wheel to access the braking components. Next, unlock the brake caliper by unscrewing the bolts on the caliper stem (usually 2, on the rear side). Lift the caliper without disconnecting the brake fluid line. Remove the old pads and check the condition of the discs (if worn, replace them). Retract the pistons using pliers or a specific tool for floating calipers. It is advisable to apply anti-squeal grease to the back of the new pads. For reassembly, position the new pads, reassemble the caliper, and tighten the bolts to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Before driving, pump the brake pedal to bring the pistons back into contact.
