In this video, we will see how to change the oil and oil filter on the third version of the Fiat Doblò 1.4: the filter is located at the front of the engine but is quite hidden, at the bottom. To unscrew the cap, a 27 mm socket is required, and it is essential to remove it before the oil sump plug; otherwise, it will not drain completely.

The video shows the new filter: the toothed part goes inside the filter housing; remember to also change the seal, which should be lubricated with a bit of new oil. Now you can remove the 17 mm sump plug, allowing it to drain into a suitable container, which should then be disposed of properly at an authorised centre.

Take this opportunity to change the sump plug and its seal, then refill with 3.5 litres of oil, according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The service must be reset using a diagnostic tool.
