How to Remove the Front Shock Absorber on Fiat Punto

Carefully follow these steps to remove the front shock absorber on a Fiat Punto: first, loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the wheel. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line tubes with a screwdriver). Now lower the car with the column lift and unscrew the bolts on the side (top part of the shock absorber), then remove the shock absorber from its housing. Compare the old part with the new one and prepare to mount the shock absorber onto the spring using a suitable compression tool. Once everything is mounted, proceed to install the shock absorber back onto the car in reverse order.
