How to Remove the Rear Wiper Arm on a Fiat 500

The selected video demonstrates not only how to remove the rear wiper arm but also how to mask the mechanism. The first step in mounting the motor is to remove the rear wiper arm. To do this, lift the plastic cover on the pivot of the wiper arm and unscrew the bolt that secures it to the hinge using the appropriate spanner. At this point, pull the entire wiper arm off. To mask the hole, open the tailgate and, after unscrewing the screw that secures the handle and removing the 4 clips, take off the inner panel. Using the appropriate spanner, unscrew the 3 bolts that secure the motor and speed regulator, and then remove them (after disconnecting the electrical supply, which can be secured with a plastic tie). Now remove the internal plastic cover near the hinges of the tailgate to access and disconnect the washer pump, and after sealing it with a suitable cap, reassemble everything. Fit the rubber seals and the plastic cap in the wiper pivot hole. Finally, refit the inner panel of the tailgate by following the reverse of the instructions shown in the images.
