How do you use the automatic transmission?

In this video we can see how to properly use an automatic transmission when we are in parking mode. In fact, we don't always know if we are following the correct procedure. The car in the video is a Fiat 500X, but the basic concept is valid for all cars with this type of transmission. To park, first we must press the brake, then put the gear in "N", engage the handbrake and then go to "P"; now we can release the brake pedal and turn off the car. This is done to transfer the mechanical stress to the braking system, rather than to the transmission components.
