In this video, as in many others on the internet, we are shown how to modify the fuel tank capacity of the Fiat Ducato from 60 to 90 liters by removing a component from the pump. Now, we know that car manufacturers never install a particular component that is not strictly necessary, so by removing that component, are we sure we are doing a good job? Furthermore, according to article 72 of the Highway Code, any substantial modification to the vehicle (including the fuel tank capacity) must be communicated and approved by the Motorizzazione Civile; a technical inspection may be necessary to verify safety and compliance. Also, consider that if the modification is not declared, the insurance company may refuse any compensation in case of an accident.
