How to remove the rear shock absorber on a Fiat Grande Punto? Follow these steps: loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the rear wheel along with the plastic splash guard. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber from the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line tubes with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side (top part of the shock absorber), and pull the shock absorber out of its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber onto the car, working in reverse order.
