Follow these steps to replace the key fob battery of a Fiat 500X: Take your key fob and slide the metal key release button; once the metal key is out, use a screwdriver to pry open the key cover (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the battery holder plastics separate, then extract the battery from the key using a small screwdriver.

Get a new battery of the same size and voltage. Install the new battery in the compartment and finally in the cover.

Check the proper functioning of the key fob by pressing the buttons.
