How to replace the battery in the key fob of a Fiat 500X? Here’s how to proceed: take your remote, press the release button of the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the two key covers; pry until the cap separates from the cover.

Remove the dead battery with a screwdriver and take a new one (same size and voltage).

Reattach the cap over the cover: press on the key fob until you hear the locking click. Close the metal key back into the remote.

Check the proper functioning of the remote.
