Installing a 2DIN Radio in a Fiat Doblo'

Let’s see what to do to install a 2DIN radio in a Fiat Doblo' first series. We will not provide purchase instructions, given the vast selection available online. Start by removing the original radio, without EVER cutting any wires. Usually, a plug & play ISO adapter kit is provided with the radio. The original antenna of this model has a special connector that MUST NOT be cut: instead, make a small adapter (at a low cost) that interposes between the car cable and the new radio. This way, you will save 3 hours of hassle. Mount the brackets, secure the metal brackets of the new radio to the side supports of the kit, without fully tightening the screws, as we need to adjust their position. Insert the radio into the compartment without the aesthetic trim, and check that it does not hit the climate controls or other obstacles. You may need to slightly trim parts of the plastic supports or the compartment. With the bracket screws loosened, adjust the radio until it aligns best with the future trim. Now, secure the microphone near the steering wheel; route the USB cable to a convenient location and position the WIFI/GPS antenna (if present). Before final assembly, switch everything on and check. Now, install the aesthetic trim and secure the radio in its final position, tightening the screws. Attach the new 2DIN trim starting from the bottom and snap the clips at the top.
