You can replace the gear knob on a Fiat 500 by prying it off with an object to detach the rivets securing the gaiter to its base: once all the rivets are removed, you can lift the gaiter and widen the connecting ring located between the knob and the gaiter. After these components are removed, you can detach the knob from the end of the lever to insert the new replacement part; after replacement, secure it and check that it functions correctly.
