To replace the key fob battery in a Fiat 500X, press the unlock button and extract the metal emergency key from the fob. Insert the tip of the key into the slot on the edge of the casing and gently lever to separate the two halves. Once the fob is open, locate the button cell battery housed in the internal support.

Remove the flat battery using a small plastic tool and insert the new battery, ensuring the correct polarity is followed. Verify that it is correctly positioned in its slot and close the fob by aligning the two parts until they click together.

Reinsert the emergency key and check the correct functioning of the fob buttons.
