How do you remove the ignition switch from a Fiat Punto? Follow these steps. Before removing the ignition switch, disconnect the battery terminals. Use a socket or screwdriver to remove the screws securing the side and lower covers of the steering wheel, then remove the screws using a screwdriver. Once the plastic covers are off, remove the ignition switch retaining pin. After extracting the lock, replace it with a new one. Reverse the assembly steps to reassemble.
