To open the fuel filler cap on a Fiat 500, park the vehicle and turn off the engine. Get out of the car and locate the fuel flap on the right side of the vehicle. Open the flap by pulling it outward. Then insert the ignition key into the lock integrated into the fuel cap. Once inserted, turn the key counterclockwise to unlock the cap, then unscrew it counterclockwise until completely removed. After refuelling, replace the cap, screw it on clockwise until tight, remove the key, and then close the flap.
