How to replace the gas struts on the tailgate of a Fiat Panda? Here’s how to replace the parts. Lift the tailgate and secure it with a prop (if removing both struts); use a screwdriver to remove the metal clips securing the ends of the strut. Detach the worn strut from the body and fit the new part into place. Secure the strut with the metal clips. Repeat the same process for the removal/installation of the second strut. Test the correct operation of the new struts.
