How to Replace the Alternator on a Fiat Scudo

Learn how to replace the alternator on a Fiat Scudo. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it in place. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Use a socket spanner to remove the bolts on either side of the alternator, taking care not to damage the wiring harness. Remove all securing bolts. Once disassembly is complete, extract the alternator from the engine bay. Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, screw in the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery.
