Removing the engine is not a walk in the park, but on this vehicle, it becomes manageable for enthusiasts without too many pretensions. Start by removing the exhaust manifold, then the speedometer cable to give yourself more room to manoeuvre. It is crucial to remove all linkages from the gear lever, and then the cable that activates the 4x4 indicator. Now disconnect the support at the bottom of the gearbox. Next, lower the body and then detach the engine from the side of the gearbox and subsequently the upper mounts from the gearbox side. All that’s left is to lift the body and extract the engine.
