Before you begin the replacement, ensure that your Fiat 500 is in first gear and the handbrake is engaged. Start by lifting the rear of the car, then remove the wheel by unscrewing the relevant bolts and pulling the wheel off. This will give you access to the rear shock absorber.

Next, slightly lift the wheel hub with a jack to relieve the shock absorber. Then, unscrew the bolts securing the shock absorber to the car. Once these bolts are removed, the shock absorber will be free, and you can take it out, completing the disassembly.

To fit the new shock absorber and reattach the wheel, simply reverse this procedure, and you will have finished the replacement.
