Put a little bit of unscrew on the bolts that secure the shock absorber, and unscrew them with a 19 spanner (they will be a little hard). To get it out of the seat you will have to use a large iron lever, or a crowbar, until it is extracted from the lower seat. After doing this, shake it and pull it hard so that it also comes out from the top. Similarly, when installing the new shock absorbers, proceed in reverse order, so insert them first in the upper part and then in the lower part, before screwing in the bolts. Check that the shock absorbers purchased have rubber pads. It is advisable to always change both shock absorbers, even if only one is really worn.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?
