By the time we have removed this panel, we will have reached the door lock. The lock cylinder is fixed by a simple brass clip, which we will have to remove. Once we have removed this clip, we will be able to extract the lock from the outside, and then release the pin on the plastic, and the disassembly will be finished. To mount the cylinder of the new lock and close the door, we will simply have to repeat these steps in reverse, and we will have successfully completed the replacement.
