How do you change the brake pads on a Fiat 500? Let's see how to remove the front brake pads of the car. Lift the car on a column lift, stopping at a comfortable height for work. Unscrew the pins with a socket wrench or air drill and remove the wheel, then start unscrewing the pins of the brake caliper to detach it from the bracket. Use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads. Install the new brake pads with all the associated pins, tighten the caliper bracket to the disc, then reattach the brake caliper and screw in the remaining screws. Test the firmness of the brake pedal and bleed the braking system.
