Replacing the Cigarette Lighter Socket on a Fiat 500L

Obtain a wedge or a plastic lever and pry in the gap around the cover near the gear lever. Once the surface cover is removed, also take out the underlying plastic inside the compartment. Now extract the structure to which the cigarette lighter socket is fixed, and disconnect the connector. Removing the cigarette lighter from its structure is very simple, as it is only clipped in: just pry on the plastic to allow it to come out. Proceed in reverse for reassembly. The video also shows how to install a triple USB socket in place of the standard cigarette lighter.
