In order to replace the Fiat 500L diesel filter, the hood must be raised to gain access to the engine compartment: the diesel fuel filter is located immediately under the windscreen, on the passenger side. This will have to be released from the connectors connected to it and subsequently can be extracted by loosening its fixing bolts. When these have been removed, it will be possible to insert the new filter inside the special housing and fix it with the relative bolts. At the end of the operation it will be possible to reconnect the connectors.
