Oil and Engine Oil Filter Change

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011
Part: Engine oil

Changing the oil is one of the most common routine maintenance tasks. To drain the used oil, unscrew the plug located at the bottom of the oil sump; it is very important to collect the used oil in a container and take it to a disposal company. Once all the oil has drained out, refit the plug with the correct torque. Then unscrew the oil filter, located on the engine block, using a chain wrench, being careful of any residual used oil in the filter. Next, fit the new filter by lubricating the seal with oil and pour the new oil into the filler neck on the engine head, checking the level.

To remove the front brake pads on a Chrysler PT Cruiser, position the car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height. Unscrew the pins using a socket wrench or air drill and remove the wheel. Then, use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads. Next, remove the caliper bracket and unscrew the pins on the brake disc (using a Torx screwdriver). Pull the disc towards you to slide it off the hub. Install the new brake disc with all associated pins, secure the caliper bracket to the disc and the pads, then mount the brake caliper, ensuring all pins are tightened properly. Before mounting the wheel, bleed the brake caliper and tighten the pin.
