Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Replacing the engine oil and its filter is essential for ensuring optimal engine efficiency. It is recommended to change the filter with every oil change (not every other time as was done in the past) and to bring forward the maintenance interval, especially if the timing is chain-driven. Locate the filter housing near the yellow oil filler cap, unscrew the cap, and remove the old filter. Install the new filter and new O-ring seals, then lift the vehicle and drain the used oil from the sump drain plug. Finally, fill the engine with clean oil until reaching the maximum level.
