How to Remove the Fuel Injection Pump on Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet

Model: Fiat Punto MK 3, Punto EVO, 199, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018

To remove the fuel injection pump, prepare all the necessary materials (the two oil seals + the gasket kit, pliers, TORX keys size 50 and 25). Remove the airbox housing the air filter to access the high-pressure pump. At this point, disconnect the delivery pipe to the pump. Once the depressor is removed, unscrew the other screws and take out the pump. After removing the high-pressure pump, to be more precise, mark the positions of the three plungers. Then unscrew the four screws and pull out the plungers. Prepare three containers to separate the three plungers. Remove the pipes using a TORX key size 25. Then take out the pipes and pull out each plunger, also removing the shaft; extract the first piston with the spring; then the second piston, and so on until all are removed, placing them separately in the containers you prepared earlier. Remove the pressure regulator with pliers. Now, remove the entire shaft to replace the two oil seals and the gaskets inside. Before replacing the oil seals and gaskets, clean all parts with petrol. Now that the new parts are in place, you can reassemble all the pieces in reverse order.
