In order to replace the thermostat on the Fiat Punto 1.2 8V, the hood must be opened so that the engine compartment can be accessed and the plastic cover from the upper part of the engine can be removed. In this way, it will be necessary to identify the pipe inside which the coolant passes: this pipe must be disconnected from the radiator, collecting the liquid inside a container. By doing so, it will be possible to detach the thermostat and replace it with a new spare part; after replacement, all parts that were previously removed will need to be reinstalled.
