How to repair the internal handle rope of the Fiat Bravo

Now we will see how to change the internal handle on the driver's side of the door of a Fiat Bravo, we start by removing the covers of the panel screws, we start by removing the one used to close the door, under the cover we remove the torx screws, then remove the cover behind the handle with a small slotted screwdriver that hides another torx screw, then we remove the push-button panel with a plastic wedge: we disconnect the connectors by pressing and sending the lever down, same operation with the other connector. At this point we will have in view the screws to remove (in total 4), then with the Phillips screwdriver we go to remove the two screws under the panel, then remove the panel by inserting a large slotted screwdriver under the panel in order to lift it the whole panel not before removing the plastic covering the rearview mirror. As you can see in the video from behind the panel, the handle rope is broken and the other end has remained inside when removing it; with a slotted screwdriver remove the clip that holds the rope in place and remove the rope. If there is a courtesy light in your panel, let's remove it to free the panel. To repair the rope we go to take the measure of the end of the rope with a gauge, we take a small L-shaped iron, we go to make it the measure we need (in length), we take a clamp and with the clamp we will go to tighten it together the end of the string and the L-shaped iron and reinsert the string in its place by letting the L-shaped iron enter the part where we removed the piece that had broken and close the clip. At this point we can carry out a test to see the handle opens. Finally, we can reassemble the panel by performing the reverse procedure to that described for disassembly.
