Replacement of Car Shock Absorbers

The shock absorber is a system designed to dampen the oscillation of a machine's suspension. Shock absorbers take the form of a cylinder with a piston that moves inside, where the outer cylinder is filled with fluid while the piston rod acts on it. Lift the car with a jack and remove the wheel (the one you are working on), then unscrew the fastening bolts and extract the shock absorber from its seat, compressing it slightly with your hands. After this, clean the seating area where the new shock absorber will be inserted.
