How to Replace the Engine Oil on a Fiat Punto

If you want to proceed with a DIY approach to replacing the oil and oil filter on this vehicle, refer to the instructions below. Open the bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap. Then, lift the vehicle and unscrew the drain plug, ensuring you have placed a container to collect the used oil. Wait a few minutes for all the oil to drain out, then refit the plug. Next, locate the oil filter, which is situated beside the sump, and remove it using the appropriate spanner. Replace it with the new one, ensuring you change the gasket. Finally, return to the engine bay and fill the system with the new lubricant.
