The EGR valve has the function of introducing a part of the exhaust gases back into the intake with the aim of reducing emissions: the constant contact with the exhaust gases, which are often contaminated by leaks of oil and unburned diesel, tend to dirty it and to such an extent as to completely clog it up to jams its operation; it is not easy to determine when the valve must be replaced because it is not so much related to the mileage as to the driving style and the type of route: if you drive a lot in the city, the valve will tend to clog up prematurely; it is therefore advisable to have both the valve and the intake manifold cleaned during routine maintenance.

Disassembly of the gear knob on the Lancia Ypsilon 2

Today we will see, in this video tutorial, how to remove and replace the gear knob on the second series Lancia Ypsilon, but also on the Lancia Musa, in simple and quick steps. We get inside the car and start by removing the old gear knob; to do this, just unscrew it anticlockwise, as shown in the video. At this point we also remove the gearshift gaiter, in order to replace, if necessary, it too; we just have to fix the new headset and insert the new gear knob, screwing it correctly and without creating play on the gear lever!
