How to Remove the Starter Motor from a Fiat Panda

If turning the ignition key to the on position does not activate the starter motor, there may be a fault related to the relay, brushes, armature, or the pinion engagement mechanism. You need to remove the starter motor itself and work on it to repair it. The starter motor is located on the gearbox, and before proceeding with the replacement, disconnect the battery. Then, unscrew the mounting bolts securing the starter motor to the gearbox and disconnect the power cables. Once on the workbench, open it up and inspect the collector, brushes, and if necessary, restore the wiring as needed.
