How does the tire monitoring system work on the Fiat 500 E?
In this video we can see how the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) works on the Fiat 500E. It is a preventive safety feature that monitors tire pressure: if it decreases, we will hear an acoustic signal and the light will come on on the display. This means that we need to check which tire needs to be inflated to the correct pressure: this information can be found on the label located on the inner edge of the driver's door. It is necessary to check the pressure even if the light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off. Remember that tire pressure changes with the external temperature, especially in winter. It is important to be aware that the TPMS light does not replace the tire pressure gauge, as it does not automatically turn off when the pressure is restored; but once the pressure has been restored, it will be necessary to drive for a few kilometers, and at a speed higher than 24 km/h.
