How do you replace the windshield wiper blades of the Ford Escape?

In order to replace the windshield wiper blades of the Ford Escape, you need to lift the wiper arms so that they are no longer in contact with the windshield: once the blades are tilted relative to the arms, you can detach the hooks underneath so that they can be completely removed. The new blades can then be attached to the arms using the same hooks: in this way, the blades can be repositioned on the windshield and you can check that everything is working correctly.
