On some occasions, it is possible to adjust the handbrake of the Ford Fiesta from the rear brake shoes, after making the main adjustment from the central tunnel nut. This is necessary for fine tuning, or if there is irregular locking or excessive travel of the handbrake. We must lift the car and remove the wheels. Inside the drum or disc, there is a mechanism for adjusting the brake shoes, and using a screwdriver, we will adjust the shoes so that they come closer to the surface of the disc, but without touching it: it is essential that the adjustment is the same for both wheels, so this adjustment requires some mechanical knowledge.
