Let's see how to open the Ford Puma's door with a non-functioning remote battery. We have an emergency key inside the remote itself, and a physical lock located on the driver's door, in the handle, covered by a small removable panel; let's remove it and insert the physical key we extracted from the remote into the lock.

Turn slowly to unlock and pull the handle to open. Now, to start with the dead remote - perhaps to get to the nearest electronics store or supermarket where we can buy a new battery, bring the key close to the start button.
