Restoring the BMS after battery replacement on a Ford S-Max MK2

When replacing the battery of a vehicle with the BMS (Battery Monitoring System), it is necessary to reset it so that it learns the parameters of the new battery; if we do not do this, the battery may not function correctly, as the vehicle will still have the parameters of the battery we replaced in its memory. Let's see how to proceed with the Ford S-Max MK2 and similar models: turn on the ignition and toggle the high beam button on and off 5 times, then quickly press the brake pedal three to five times: observe the battery warning light on the dashboard, which will start to blink and then remain steady. The reset is complete. Turn off the ignition and wait a couple of minutes to allow the car to complete the learning process. Upon starting, the warning light will be off.
