How to remove the battery on a Ford S Max

Model: Ford S Max MK 2 - Years 2016-2024

Open the hood of the engine compartment. Remove the air filter to access the battery housing, unscrewing the screw that tightens the tube that carries air from the outside to the engine. Remove the two screws that hold the brake fluid reservoir in place. Remove the battery cover and unscrew the two brackets that hold the battery in place. Unscrew the terminals from the positive and negative poles and remove the battery from its housing. Insert the new battery and reassemble everything as before. Set the time and date inside the vehicle, as they are reset when the battery is replaced. If necessary, enter the radio code. Install the replacement battery following the instructions in the car manual. Remember to use quality batteries, both regular and with Start-Stop system. And never connect the two poles during disassembly or recharging.
