How to Reset the Service Light on Ford Transit Connect MK8

The video shows us two methods: the first is the standard one for newer models with a digital display, while the other is the universal method using the pedals. The method for MK8 models is from the instrument cluster: turn it on and use the 5-way buttons on the steering wheel until you reach the "settings" stop (often an icon shaped like a gear). With the up/down buttons, scroll through the options to "vehicle settings" and here look for "maintenance" confirming with "ok". Then look for "oil life" and the display will show the percentage of remaining oil life. You will be asked to confirm the reset. Select "yes" and the percentage will return to 100%. The pedal combination method consists of turning on the ignition, pressing down the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal at the same time. Hold both pedals for 25/30 seconds and then release them together. Turn off and check upon re-ignition after 30 seconds.
