The maintenance light illuminates on a 2020 Ford Ranger when service operations, such as an oil change, are due. After completing these operations, you will need to reset the light to update the mileage for the next oil change. To reset the oil light, turn on the vehicle's instrument panel and press the OK button to access the settings menu.

Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the menu until you select the "maintenance" option. From the maintenance menu, select the "oil change" option and hold the OK button for a few seconds to start the update procedure.

Once completed, return to the main menu and restart the instrument panel to save the changes.
