How to Locate the Fuses in a Ford Explorer
Model: Ford Explorer
MK 5, U502
- Years 2011-2019
Video tutorial
Detailed instructions - To locate the fuses in a Ford Explorer, first find the fuse panel in the cabin. Sit in the driver's seat and look for the panel at the bottom of the dashboard, under and to the left of the steering wheel, near the brake pedal. Remove the cover to access the fuses and relays. To reach the second box, open the bonnet and locate the power distribution box in the engine compartment. Remove the corresponding cover to access the high-current fuses and relays. Before replacing a fuse, turn off the engine and all electrical devices. Use the extractor provided in the panel and install only a fuse of the same amperage as the one removed. Always refer to the diagram on the cover or in the manual to identify the correct fuse, as the layout may vary depending on the year and equipment.
