Removal and Replacement of the Rear Window Regulator on a Ford Focus

In this video, we will show you how to remove the rear window motor on this vehicle. After following the steps that guide you in removing the door panel, we will tackle the disassembly of the electric motor. You will need to manually lift the glass to halfway to remove the clip that anchors the glass to the central guide, after which you can lift the glass further and, by slightly rotating it, extract it from the door. Now unscrew the support screws of the slide which will then come away with the motor attached to its side. The repair kit available on the market generally includes the combination of these two components: guide + electric motor.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
