How to Repair the Rear Window Regulator on a Ford Focus

A common fault not only in Ford vehicles is the breakage of the plastic sliding pads in the window regulator mechanism: in this case, you can either replace the entire mechanism or attempt a repair by purchasing the relevant kit; in any case, you must remove the door panel and then the window regulator mechanism. Start by removing the handle cover and the cap inside the opening lever housing to access the screws securing the panel, also unscrew those around the panel's edge and remove the rear plastic triangle to complete the panel removal. Then remove the speaker and peel off the sound-absorbing cover; at this point, loosen the glass retaining clips and lift the glass, supporting it with a wedge; disconnect the window motor connector and complete the disassembly of the mechanism to carry out the repair with the appropriate kit and proceed in reverse for reassembly.
