How to remove the door handle? Let's look at removing the panel and handle on a Focus. Remove the handle cover, unscrew the screws inside it. Unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the retaining clips.

Pull the panel away with your hands and disconnect it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable). Unscrew the screws on the side of the door and the screws inside until you can release the handle.

Remove the damaged handle and replace it with a new one. Refit the panel after installation.
