How to Replace the Wing Mirror on a Ford S-Max

Model: Ford S Max MK 1 - Years 2006-2016

Before you can start, open the door of your Ford S-Max. Begin by prising out and removing the internal handle insert of the door. Next, unscrew and remove the screws that secure the door panel using a Torx T25 screwdriver. At this point, you can remove the door panel and the cover near the mirror, then disconnect the rear electrical connectors. Once done, remove the internal cover of the mirror. This will expose the mirror's mounting bolt, which you need to unscrew and remove, followed by the mirror itself, completing the disassembly. To fit the new mirror and reassemble everything, simply follow this procedure in reverse, and the replacement will be complete.
