How to Change the Shock Absorbers on a Fiesta

Do you want to remove the shock absorbers from your car? Here’s how to do it from underneath the vehicle. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts, lift the car on a column lift, and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the shock absorber mounting bolts at the wheel hub (disconnect the brake line tubes with a screwdriver). Lift the bonnet and secure it, unscrew the bolts on the side, and remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Install the new shock absorber on the car by reversing the disassembly steps. Replace damaged parts with identical type and size.
