When to Replace the Timing Belt on Ford Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

The timing belt on a 2011 Ford Focus is strongly recommended to be replaced within 93,000 miles or 6 years of use. Although many only consider the miles driven, do not postpone maintenance after many years of using the car as it could lead to serious engine damage. Similarly, some technical specifications recommend changing it at 124,000 miles; again, when in doubt, I strongly advise replacing it earlier. The cost of replacing the timing belt is usually around £150; if you are an experienced mechanic (this is a very complex operation), I have attached a DIY tutorial for the replacement.
