How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter

The first step to replace the cabin air filter is to remove the plastic panel in the footwell. Once the single bolt is undone, you will have access to the internal clips of the panel; pull firmly to remove them. With this first component removed, you will be able to access the air filter housing, secured by a single screw located in the bottom right. Once the screw is removed, you can detach the bar protecting the filter: then pull the old filter out of the housing. It is advisable to disinfect the area to ensure safe and healthy operation once the new filter starts working. To install the new filter, pay particular attention to its positioning: the filter is directional, and the arrow drawn on the upper side indicates the direction of airflow through the structure, so it should be positioned towards the car, pointing into the passenger compartment. To close the compartment, simply reposition the protective bar and reattach the plastic panel. Done!
